“Two Sisters Helping Hand is my way of making positive changes in the world.”
Since founding TSHH along side her daughter Cyni Dugars in 2014 they have helped over 6000 individuals and families here in Houston. This experience has given them both a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for their communities, one program at a time.
Ciji Martinez
Cyni came up with the idea of starting a non-profit organization after relocating to Houston, Texas from Louisiana. She began her volunteer service in elementary school with several organizations throughout the city of Houston. She continued her volunteer services throughout middle and high school. In Middle school she was presented with several awards for her community work. Her greatest accomplishment was when she was presented with The President's Volunteer Service Award that was given to her in 2016 only two years after she founded TSHH. Cyni was able to run her non-profit organization and still attend school and graduate high school with full scholarships. She is now attending college at TSU in Houston where she will continue her volunteer efforts.
